“I want to know.”

Nera looked at her skeptically, her unspoken protest hung in the air, her discomfort was clear.

“I need to know.” She added with forced conviction.

It had started as a simple accident, a game that had gone too far, and Nera had slipped for just a second. That was all it took; it was something they had both spent nights talking over again and again.

“What if you lose control.”

The incident had left Amenii rattled, and Nera sulking for the better part of a week. Like a looming giant that had lost its purpose in life it was all Amenii could do to make Nera meet her gaze. Shame, fear, remorse, all these emotions played across her predatory face.

“I’m sorry.” Was all she could whisper again and again.

Only after latching onto her chest and refusing to be dislodged until Nera spoke to her, did she make any head way. “Please, just tell me…Talk to me. Please.”

“It’s a predator thing…you wouldn’t understand.” Nera replied, before looking away again.

“Then talk to me until I do.”

“It’s not something that words can put into…” She gestured into the air, as though trying to describe something that was not there. “-You just have to feel it, inside you…”

Nera regretted even trying to explain.

“No you don’t.” Nera’s gaze was hard. “What you want is reckless, dangerous even.”

Nera knew her protests were not going to sway Amenii from trying all the same. She was just too strong willed that way. Once she put her mind to a task, she never stopped, regardless of how much it may cost her in the end.

The cold fire in Amenii’s eyes finally overrode Nera’s own conviction. “I’m going to bind you.”

The effects were almost instantiations, and even thought she had mentally prepared herself, the overwhelming stir of emotions that burned up through her brain was almost enough to drive out all rational thought.

It was as though someone had lit a fire in her belly, one that now threatened to overflow through her body in spasmodic waves.

“What! What did you do to me?” Amenii shrieked as the logical side of her brain faded away. “What did you do!!!”

NOTES: What is this? What is happening? Is this a fic? What's with the '...'? I bet there are a lot of questions, alas I don't have that many answers to give you.

What I can give you is a bit of context, following a close call of Nera almost mauling Amenii, Amenii wanted to know why a predator would do this. Nera tried to explain, but ultimately failed. So, what is a bunny to do? Why, dilute a sample of Night Howler extract of course! Bad Idea. The effects... Not any better. But she did get a better understanding of what Nera feels when things get a little tense. That and a serious headache, sore wrists, and a few self inflicted claw marks.

Not pretty.
