Description
She's here for race day, and is collecting her bib number. She is also hoping that she gets number 77, a very lucky number, just like 117, 226, and 313.Related content

Thankfully it is just a 5k (6 miles) but even in these she gets winded pretty quickly. T.T

Yeah.Β That's still pretty far for a cheetah to run.Β But, cheetahs gotta run just like fish gotta swim.Β It's in their genes.Β LOL.

She has been getting better, before she was winded within the mile and had to stop to have gasping breakdowns. T.T

That and she is really bad at sharp corners. practice would help though, she is going to need a lot of it.

how tall doesΒ Arie go? or dose she not stop growing, like ligers, as it's the tiger part that makes it that they don't stop growing?

Code-Shark In reply to BlazeNekoFox [2018-02-04 03:07:28 +0000 UTC]
Probably going to be about half the size of a regular tiger. Gads, if she kept growing at her rate, she would be a giant.

lol ligers areΒ 10 ft, standing, the biggest rabbit isΒ 4 feet, that is the same as a tiger that google gives, butΒ googleΒ gives it too the tiger;s shoulders, so i don;t know how big it is

She should probably have a sports bra when she runs. Otherwise, she's going to have huge problems with the bounce and the jiggle when she hits the highest speeds.

Cheetahs always start out good, but they're short winded...
π: 0 β©: 2
Code-Shark In reply to Doctor-Why-Designs [2018-01-19 11:40:15 +0000 UTC]
That is her biggest problem. In the first leg of the race most mammals behind her get demoralized as she rockets ahead, by the second leg, she is slowing down...the third leg she is gasping and wheezing while others pass her, and on the last leg she pulls out the stoppers for one more burst of cheetah speed. So, she does pretty well overall.

Always wait for the second wind.

neorenamon In reply to Doctor-Why-Designs [2018-01-18 05:36:41 +0000 UTC]
They can hit 70 - 75 mph in less than 4 seconds, and maintain that speed over a distance of 100 to 110 yards. Common Olympic events include the 60 and 100 meter sprints, so cheetahs would dominate those events. They would have trouble once the sprints move up to the 200 or more meter lengths. 1 meter is roughly 1.1 yards.

Doctor-Why-Designs In reply to neorenamon [2018-01-19 18:03:02 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, but for a lapped race, cheetahs would be worthless
π: 0 β©: 1
neorenamon In reply to Doctor-Why-Designs [2018-01-19 19:13:45 +0000 UTC]
I have seen enough cheetahs running to tell you that the gentle turns at the ends of the track loop are no problem for them. I've seen them turn around running at full speed in about three body lengths while pursuing evasive prey. There was only a short break in their running speed from the time they started the turn and when they resumed straight running.

Makes me think of an old movie I watched as a kid called 'Cheetah'
These poachers put a cheetah in a greyhound race, betting on her to lose. They did not count on the cheetah's second wind...
