Finally, after about 2 weeks on and off on working on this guy, i've finally completed him xDI decided to create my own version of the Sun God boss from Metal Slug 3. This is 100% my own work, but i did use the sun god for reference on certain parts of the Sea God. Note the kanji in the top left is the japanese for Sea God.
I mainly made him out of fun, but also to help me practice the metal slug style itself
If you want to use him for anything, then feel free to, as i'm not going to put him in the Crimson Sky project as it would be too obvious a idea copy, but please give me credit for this work and don't claim as your own. thanks

I like the concept of a sea-based counterpart to Sol Dae Rokker.

To be more specific, that boss's actual name is "Sol Dae Rokker," which roughly translates in Latin to "Sun of Rock." Also it wasn't actually a Sun God, but an instrument used by it.
Very good though. I wonder how this one would fight. Perhaps it would shoot water pillars, and maybe use similar lasers to Sol Dae Rokker, but in different patterns. It would probably use those homing shots too, though perhaps they would look more like sea creatures such as Sharks or Dolphins instead of wolves, and they'd move differently too.

Ah well fair enough then, be cool if i knew a little more latin myself
Wasn't really sure how it would work as i was focusing on emualting the orginal's style i,though liking the idea of the homing shots of sharks and dolphins
I could possibly do a different charged beam like on the original, maybe with cascading water or even getting ice in there instead shooting out the mouth, all sounds interesting though

This project sounds interesting. Can you tell me more about it? I wanna see this project, and maybe I can be of help.

Ah Crimson Sky well um thats been kinda an off and on thing, but basically it would be the same format as Metal Slug so a 2D shoot em up, with the main idea being your in a post-apocalyptic kinda world where two empires have risen up, both taking parts of the world each. Mercenaries are of high demand, and you take on the role of two particular ones, and there's a kinda of conspiracy between the empires and mercenaries etc that they get dragged into. So the first batch of levels would be normal request missions from civilians etc, then they'd get dragged into epic battles with space fleets and levels where you caught in the middle of war, crazy stuff like that It would have the same gaming mechanics of metal slug but with extra stuff so maybe like picking up variations of normal weapons (bit like Borderlands).
Like i said its been an off and on idea so its not concrete, i might pursue it more when i have more time on my hands
