Papyrus sighed as Sans walked out the door.
"Paparus?"
Papyrus looked down at the human and forced a smile.
"Nyehehehehe! You look filthy, human! Here, let's get you into a bath."
Papyrus reached down to the human, taking their hand.
The human giggled and followed him to the bathroom.
Papyrus poked Frisk's belly.
"Let's start by getting that dirty shirt off, eh?"
Soon enough, Frisk was in the tub, poking the water curiously.
Papyrus reached up to the cabinet, pulling out some soap.
He started to reach for a solid brush, but stopped when he saw Frisk flinch away from him.
He saw it for a moment, but it was enough.
Cuts and bruises were all over their body.
Papyrus picked up the solid brush and frowned, holding it it to Frisk.
"Did... Did this brush hurt you...?"
Frisk slowly nodded and whimpered.
Papyrus gripped the brush tightly, resisting the urge to just break it in half.
He put it back, instead reaching for a sponge.
Frisk looked at it curiously.
"Frisk... I will never, ever hurt you. If something ever scares you, please just tell me...okay?"
Frisk nodded and smiled, causing Papyrus to smile back.
"Good. Now let's get you cleaned up!"
He began to gently scrub them. Everything was perfectly fine...
...until he tried to wash their feet.
"Hehehehehe!"
Frisk jumped a bit when the sponge made contact.
Papyrus feigned surprise.
"What was that, human?! Are you... Ticklish?"
He scrubbed even more, watching with amusement and Frisk squealed and tried to pull away. Soon enough, Papyrus stopped.
"Alright, all done."
He grabbed a towel and picked up Frisk with it. He kissed the top of their head, laughing when he saw them squeak and hide their face in the towel.
"You were very brave, Frisk. I'm very proud of you."
Just as he walked down the stairs, Sans ran inside, panting.
"Sans?! Are you alright?!"
Sans gasped for breath and gripped the couch, trying to stand upright.
"They-they saw him! He-he was there! At the palace!"
"Who, Sans, who?!"
Looking up in panic and a small amount of happiness, Sans breathed one word that silenced the whole room.
"Gaster."
