Description
Well, I've been attempting to work on a short film called "Bonds." In the short, we see one of the characters, a 19 year-old genius by the name of Matthew Kowalski, doing a painting while on the phone with someone. Originally, I had considered on having him paint an abstract piece, but I decided to have him paint one of many representations of a family myth. I painted it using normal water-based paints from Family Dollar, a $7 canvas from Big Lots and really poor quality brushes that ended up having hairs breaking off in the painting process and sticking to the canvas. After I got through with painting it, I used Matte Mod Podge to seal the painting (as whenever you touched it, even after a day of drying, the color used to rub off). After applying the first layer, I used a green Sharpie to add a bit of detail to the "green" side of the painting. After that, I added another layer. So, I decided to name this as "Vanishing Point #1" by Matthew. Yes, I know I can't paint worth the crap (as I have no painting skills). But since this is meant to be a prop and not a real painting of artistic merrit, I just did the best I could.
Right now, I don't know if the short will ever be made, but in case, this painting will be ready for the scene it shows up in.
