That's another good thing about Fire Emblem... all the main characters are pretty chatty. Ike is considered untalkative! Compared to whom (Bastian cough)? Because Link's vocab in Twilight Princess seems to consist of laughs, screams, groans, growls, howls, gasps, and nods... the last one doesn't even count xD

To Answer Your Questions:

1a) Well, you see, since he's an electric Pokeemanz trainer, occasionally they run out of juice. That's why he has handy dandy electricity collectors on his sleeves, one for each Pokeball! Now isn't that convenient? Who needs a PokeCentre when you're a walking battery recharger?

1b) They're reflective plates so that people can see him at nighttime, thus minimizing the chance of becoming road kill.

1c) He's actually a robot in disguise. Those're just extensions of his arm that connect to the awesomely awesome recharger he has hidden in his basement.

1d) They're electromagnetic and attract ladies.

1e) Fashion. <-- pretty much explains everything

2) His pants are fine. And some guys do wear pants that tight.

3a) Pff. Who cares.

3b) What chain? You're being delusional. Those are sausages and they sure don't belong on pants.

3c) Flint was extremely hungry. He needed food desperately, otherwise his afro would deflate. Deflated afros are not considered afros, and Flint without an afro is a frightening thing (then again Flint's afro in itself is pretty frightening already xD). He found himself craving for sausages. Unfortunately, the Pokemart was sold out of the delicious meat things. Finding himself foaming at the mouth, Flint began roaming the countryside trying to find food meaty enough to satisfy his afro.

A flash of light! Flint turned around and saw six points of blinding light. He hissed and his afro howled in pain. He noticed with great displeasure that the six lights were heading in his direction.

Oh! They were just six obnoxiously reflective buttons on some guy's sleeve. They were quite interesting and Flint began to wonder what exactly they were for. He was about to voice this out loud to the owner of said buttons when his afro reminded him how ravenously hungry it was. Turning to say goodbye, Flint suddenly stopped in his tracks.

LO AND BEHOLD. The strange man before him had sausages attached to his pants! With his afro eagerly encouraging him, Flint dove at the sausages. Ignoring the buttonman's words (something about wtf are you doing to my pants) he ate the sausages. They were very strange sausages. Very difficult to chew. However, his afro was happy with this new kind of sausage and Flint leapt off a cliff with joy. He flew too, with Pokepower!

Volkner backed off slowly from the person who randomly attacked his pants. He could've sworn that afro was alive too...

"Darn," he grumbled. "I'm going to have to find something else to hang on my pants now." He started heading towards the closest Pokemart.

I'm not quite sure what game you are talking about... but he is cute...^^ and he certainly doesn't look ecstatic...hahaha
