Description Fennekin is cool and everything, but I think Chespin is really cute too!

Oh, why must I decide between them?

(Chespin is the grass-type starter Pokémon from the recently-announced Pokémon game)

Thanks! Though I suppose he sorta resembles a head of lettuce too... or maybe something more leafy like spinach.

Are people less active on dA than they used to be? I used to get 3-4 watchers for even the crappiest of pictures, but since November (7 pictures ago) I only found 3 total.

It doesn't really matter - I have to keep at it either way... I just thought it was weird.

Depends what time of day you submit sometimes.

He's a chestnut. It's the only thing that fits his name. And a chestnut with the green spikes still on is the only thing that's green and spikey on the outside and brown with a light brown patch on the inside. So yeah. He's spikey not leafy.

Lol, it makes sense, but I dunno... in the official art they look like leaves to me (or maybe blades of grass), though I admit it's a little ambiguous. I could remove the leaf detail but then he'd probably look crappy.

Actually, if you search images.google.com for "chespin", there are apparently quite a few people who also think they are leaves, as well as some who think they are spikes.

Thinking of him as a chestnut, then yeah... spikes make sense. But then, thinking of him as a grass-type Pokémon, leaves also make sense...

In the trailer it actually kinda looks like they're leaves that turn into spikes when he gets angry, so I'm going with that.
