Another romance image, this time for chapter 7 which still needs to be written. I'll be posting Chapter 6 tomorrow so I am getting ahead of myself. I just posted a WIP for this but managed to work on it ALL night to get it done with palette I found. The colors seem both warm and menacing in a way, which is fitting. I hope ya'll agree!
Note that the bandages are NOT from Ira. IRA DID NOT ACTUALLY DO THIS TO HIM.
However, in the chapter proper as well as this quote, I hope to emphasize that this way of thinking of a romantic partner is not normal. Tristan may interpret that she finds him sexy despite the wounds. Ira finds him, in this moment, incredibly attractive because of the wounds. Which is not a sign of a healthy way of thinking. She's fucked up, and I look forward to diving into how that is the case, even before everything goes wrong.

So I like to write critiques going point-by-point so here we go...
VISION:
I don't honestly know that this means but I gave you a high rating because I love the artwork so much. You portrayed what you needed to, from what I can see, so as far as I'm concerned you achieved this!
ORIGINALITY:
I gave you a 4/5 on originality because honestly I have seen similar drawings (subject matter, composition) but yours has this certain unique quality that I cannot place my finger on. The details are not overdone or distracting, and the color scheme exudes emotion.
TECHNIQUE:
The anatomy is mostly accurate, the hands/fingers get a bit skinny in some places but the lighting and shading is spot on! The colors and shading make for a really nice piece, and the composition is meaningful and impactful.
IMPACT:
I was drawn to this piece because of the color and the passion - the lighting is beautiful and creates a very certain emotion (I mean the kissing helps this too haha). The composition is meaningful in that the viewer seems to be very close to the couple, so the feeling of being close, etc. is super relevant and accurately conveyed.
I hope what I typed made sense, I really enjoy this piece and can't wait to see what else you submit!

Can I just say, first thing first, I like the color hue of this artwork? It made it looks sensual and it really fits the drawing overall.
But I really think you need to use reference for the kiss. Here's one sample for you to look at;
Ira's head should look more tilted(with angle 45 degrees or so) and smaller (since her head is tilted and we're looking at the lower view of her head). But no worries, kissing pose is quite difficult to draw, so I commend you for the effort.
The anatomy needs some fixing too. Their heads looks a tad bigger than their body. And Tristan's hand looks too small and feminine. And like the kiss, I would also be suggesting you look for reference images.
While I do like the overall hue of this piece, I do think the shading was a bit rough, and the color doesn't blend very well. But if that is your coloring choice, and you're comfortable with it, then please disregard my word for it.
Overall, I think you need to use a lot of reference images and practice with your characters' poses and anatomy. Still, your effort is commendable and please just regard this comment as a friendly remark from your fellow deviant.

Thank you! I found for a reference for this one and tried my best at it, but admittedly there are flaws. They kiss a lot and often so I need to get practice with it. And haha yeah...hands...I hate 'em.

It's alright. we all makes mistake in drawing, it's just up to us whether we want to improve or not. And you did realize you made flaws this time, so you're good.
With lots of kiss scene, comes lots of drawing practice. So I think you'll be alright.
But hands are beautiful though, well, at least for me.

I just feel like the faces are a bit off. The eyes are too close to the nose, so it seems like the faces are too skinny from profile (if it was facing too us, the faces would seem flat in a way) but overall, this piece is fantastic and keep up the good work
