Aw man, when I saw the banner on my Notices board my heart skipped a beat because I thought for a moment that DeviantART was going to give me a discount for a Premium membership on my birthday, April 7th, as a present when I turn 22 years old. My mind had been more hopeful as well considering I recently sent out my Save-the-Date cards for my wedding coming up this summer... but alas, it is merely another community event. This was so misleading, LOL. Well, that was my honest unintentional guess

You'll make a specialized widget for premium members that have been on the site for more that 5 years that allows them to organize their own private deviant meets with close friends and/or followers on the site! Using the app, they can do things like 'meet the artist' events, or make it easier for artists working on a group project to schedule work times and meet in person.
The Widget would behave like an invite, and those 'invited' can choose to decline, or input their country, location, and age. The app will compile the locations of invited parties, and give a suggested location on Google maps that is considered reasonably equidistant to all members involved. The invite-er an then choose to agree with the location, or adjust it to one they have in mind. The Widget could also have a cost calculator that figures the average cost it would take for each participant to reach said location by either car or plane. Members can back out of 'attending' any time, and it could even link to a list of hotels in the area.
This widget would be considered a deal to high profile artists on the site who would like to meet their followers outside of a con, and could potentially raise profits for these artists.
Amongst lesser known artists, it could be used as a way to quickly schedule a meet date with their close friends on the site, and share artwork and good times.
If the widget were too complex to be free, I'm quite sure many artists out there would be willing to pay a dollar or pound for something that would probably make their artistic lives easier!

I predict that, the 4 llamas of the apocalypse will descend upon the internet. they will gather 7 sacrifices. A portal to hell with then open, filled with closed threads and banned accounts, but one sole troll will upload the worlds biggest MLPxdoctor whoxpokemon fan-art file to ever exist, It will take up so much space that the internet, nay hell itself! will freeze over....then, when all the dust has settled, you'll wake from a drunken stupor and declare....."i'm too old for this shit"

the DA mars program is finally done. the rocket will launch on the second and after 6 months of travel it's satellite will begin to scour the surface of the planet for any signs of martian art.
if such signs present themselves then a rover will detach from the satellite and find the artist in order to ask them to register with DA.
once this mission is complete the DA rover will meet up with curiosity at which point, both missions done, boosters will fire and the 2 rovers will attach to the original satellite to return home.
we got to get them home because just leaving them there is wrong.
also, to commemorate the success of the first missions by DeviantArt Space there shall be a new stage to the llama badge. the astrollama.
