When dA was first created, you all had in your heads a sinister but helpful plot full of amzingness. All these years you've been building up your members and reputation, and popularity, and now that it's reached an acceptable number, you've decided to continue on with Phase 2.
Because, you see, deviantART isn't just the hub of all artist communities. It isn't just that one site that you find in yourself the urge to visit daily, with the calming green background and the fun contests that the website admins come up with or take part in, all for you. It isn't just your life, your future career choices or your training grounds for portfolios.
It is alive, with it's own, sentient desires and hopes and dreams. Every time a member posts something and announces that their proud of themselves, devinatART is proud of them too. Every time a member is feeling sad and posts a depressing journal broadcasting their feelings to their fellow members, dA cries with you. Every time you tell of a wish, dA supports you all through the journey until you make that wish a reality, and then dA celebrates with you, stands at the side of the crowds of the party and smiles proudly at how far you've come. Obviously Deviant Art has been hired by every government to hold a worldwide contest!
The contest will start on the 7th of April and be open to all DA members as the goal is to create designs that will be printed onto coins and paper bills as a new World Wide Currency.
They are creating this new currency to solve all the debt crises around the world; by wiping the slate clean and putting everyone on equal ground.
Part of the contest will be coming up with the name for the new currency and sub-names for coins and notes.
The semi finalists will each win 100,000 of the new currency.
And the winners will each get 1,000,000 of the new currency as well having their designs used in the creation of the new money!
