wow, man.
this is a really nice box, really beat up and streetwise.
i need to quit character design and start building awesome normal shit like project x vending machines, ticket boothes, hotdog vendors, outhouses. very cool turnaround too.

totaly, when school is out do a couple weekly models on CGtalk. They make the topic, but ive been gearing it towards project x for my own models.
"tools of the trade" = bum equipment, easy to place in any street scene.
"Container" = Mailbox for the street
the "I was an 80's child" didnt work out so well... but it was fun practice working on a DS character.

The project is still alive!? I might want to build a slummy section of town (kowloon, hong kong),...when I ever have time again.
What's with the messy wireframe at the top, triangles for no reason?

saving tri. The inner loop where those tri come to a point is a difficult surface to see on the model. So I save 2 tri with every pair of vert i collapse on that loop without loosing any quality of shape.
and on the top I cris-crossed the tri on the flat 10 sided plane rather than leave a vert in the center because it saves one tri, (whoopdie doo) but more importantly some engines do not like too many tri sharing one vert. It screws up the lighting on the surface.
overall I saved like 11 tri, which doesnt seem like a big deal, but the model looks exactly the same with or without em. so I cut em. Deffinitely build some stuff though! you should do the weekly challenge on CGtalk with me but do projectX themed models with me.

Hopefully I can get a job right away so I have no idea when I'll have time to do 3d stuff. Nothing but demo stuff until the 13th portfolio show, then graduation on the 15th. Then who knows if I get Art tests from companies to complete after that.
But, both Ryan and I would like to work on project X stuff. So after the 15th we should get together.

is the 13th a public thing? I'd like to cruise by and see the grad stuff.
