haha yeah maybe that would have been more appropriate, I think I had in my mind a sinister smile, but it failed since I was struggling with the medium.  I wish I had a light box!  Might have to set one up so I can do some under drawings to make things easier.

Excellent idea.  Tracing paper works well, too.  You can make a light box/table very easily.  All you need is a light bulb with fixture and a piece of plexiglass.  I'm sure in Australia you have patio furniture - glass top coffee tables and such.  Just put a mirror underneath and use the sun.  Haha.  I used to do that in the afternoons in my dining room.  But,yes.  A light table will be of great help in developing your ability and, later, as an indispensable aid to production.
