Why did you let them slip away? Distant, unrachable beacons...
As you stack up years behind you, you forget so much. Things sink into an abyssal swamp, part by part, until they are distorted out of shape, like dark shadows in your mind that no windmill shall ever blow away, then they become dark empty abysses where new memories refuse to cover - just... black. Fucking black.
