Aww man I just realized how badly I messed up the jetpack in those bottom two panels. On the left it's pointing out away from her body, on the right it's nearly vertical.
The one on the right looks better. Pretend the left one looks like the right one.

No, it's not Earth. But it is a human colony on a world with breathable air, constructed out of parts designed and made by humans. So while there will be the occasional spaceship or mecha or something lying around, most of the technology and architecture will be familiar and mundane. That forklift, and the keyboards and tools and stuff, are basically identical to how they look today.
I just thought it would be an interesting spin on the Metroid style to be exploring recent human ruins, instead of ancient alien ruins.
