Once again neglecting DeviantART... Got a few things to post from the past month, let's start with this one!

Somnolescent's been mailing stuff to each other more often the past year or so, and given that dcb just completed his first year of college, I decided to finally mail him that Vansire tape I've had lying around since, I dunno, 2020 ? But I wanted to surprise him with some art as well, so I got myself one of those cassette J-card templates, drew him a Lince, printed it out on nice cardstock, and hid it inside the shell around the tape. Seriously, it came out super clean and stealthy, you couldn't tell anything was in there unless you took the tape out. Here's a photo of the results:

(And yes, he was super hype for it too )
(And yes, I did trim that excess paper off the end afterwards. It was annoying me too.)

For the art! I didn't want to just do my usual solid coloring thing, so instead, I experimented with this really digital retro-looking watercolor airbrush effect and just shaded the colors onto Lince. I was floored. It looks like a real artist drew it! The lyrics in the back are well-obscured, but they're to "Eleven Weeks" , which is probably the first Vansire tune a lot of people heard, maybe me too.

Honestly, Lince is tricky to draw! My previous attempts at him had him looking very blocky and trapezoidal, so I really tried to keep his chin defined here and that helped a lot. I feel like he came out very slightly doglike? Which probably has to do with the darker muzzle. Not a bad thing, still very cute and still proud of this, but something I think about every time I look at it. Caby pointed out that my last three uploads all have lads with their right leg up too, which is just amusing. Had no idea I was even doing that.
