I went to Naples for a short journey, actually to participate to the wedding of a friend of mine. I took my camera with me, and shot some photos: this one is a panoramic view from the terrace of the hotel where I had been invited for the party.The photo depicts the Gulf of Naples, as you can see it from the town of Vico Equense, on the Amalfi Coast. From left to right, there are the Isle of Ischia (shaded into the sunset sky), Posillipo, the lights of Naples and then the neapolitan outskirts, overlooked by the Vesuvius. The shot has been taken about half an hour after the dusk: my eye could not perceive the light still clear above the sea, but the 20'' of shutter speed did.

Many thanks to all of you! I've logged today on DA after few days of university businesses and I've found something like 800 feedback messages. "Damn! DeviantArt got bugged once again!" but I've soon realized that there actually were those lots of messages...and my deviation had become a daily deviation! Pretty unbelievable! So, because of the HUGE amount of favs I'm not able to thank you all one by one (I really would, honestly, but I don't have the time!) and I'm writing this comment, just to let you know that I'm not forgetting you, not even one. Grazie mille a tutti voi! Loggo oggi su Deviant Art dopo qualche giorno speso in mezzo agli affari universitari e mi ritrovo con qualcosa come 800 feedback messages! "Accidenti! dA si è buggato di nuovo.." ma poi mi rendo subito conto che tutti quei messaggi c'erano eccome...e che la mia foto era diventata una daily deviation! Piuttosto incredibile. Perciò, a causa della GIGANTESCA quantità di fav, non sono in grado di ringraziarvi uno per uno (lo farei sul serio, davvero, ma non ne ho il tempo!) e sto scrivendo questo commento, per farvi sapere che non vi sto dimenticando, nemmeno uno. Panoramic views like this always remind me of Trance music. <3 (well pics like this are always used in Trance videos. XD) It's a beautiful shot. I like how bright the lights are compared to the soft calm of the sea. And the sky looks lovely to with the daylight fading and just a few clouds streaking across the sky... Lovely photo, a worthy DD.

Ti dirò, non serve chissà che equipaggiamento per fare delle ottime foto. Certo, talvolta avere qualche "ferro" in più aiuta, è innegabile, ma tutto quello che ho in galleria è stato scattato con un pacchetto reflex + grandangolo + tele (non un granché), il tutto pagato 450 €, dunque estremamente economici. Un paio di foto sono addirittura state scattate con compatte. Ah e il polarizzatore: non deve mai mancare quando si fotografano paesaggi, in particolare quando c'è dell'acqua di mezzo. Per scattare questa foto non ho nemmeno usato un cavalletto, ma ho appoggiato la macchina sul muretto del balcone. Se penso che c'è chi va in giro con migliaia di euro di macchina fotografica per scattare foto alle punte delle proprie scarpe...
Certo che abitando in costiera, non ti mancheranno gli spunti per degli ottimi scatti!

guarda io ho una reflex con un 18-55 e un 55-200, quando lo metto a 18 mi fà un pò da grand angolo però volevo qualche cosa in +. Ecco il polarizzatore mi mancava

La foto l'ho scattata con un equivalente al tuo 18-55. E' sufficientemente grandangolare, secondo me. A focali inferiori, se l'obiettivo non è molto buono rischi distorsioni. Poi considera che per i panorami devi comunque ricorrere all' "incollaggio" delle foto. Poi ovviamente dipende da che tipo di fotografo sei e dalle tue disponibilità economiche.
Per l'acqua vellutata ti consiglio anche dei filtri ND, con 10 stop, ad esempio, riesci ad arrivare a 30 secondi di esposizione in pieno giorno, ma considera che le nuvole ti vengono mosse. Generalmente un polarizzatore abbatte di 3 stop...con un ND magari da 3 o 5 stop potresti fare belle cose, ad ogni modo non me ne intendo molto.
