It's an odd ending - but I think it sums up what follows.Panel 1: I don't think Chase is very good at healing-magics, but he gives it a shot for Jack. He's just able to heal some damage, but not all...
Panel 2: So he has to keep Jack around a bit longer, and cannot explain his actions to a conscious Jack. So he gets all angsty - cause he doesn't even understand why he's helping Jack XD
Panel 3: Jack's gets better by the day, and starts to follow Chase around the mountain... Chase starts to realise he doesn't mind Jack's company.
Panel 4: It's been... too long since Chase last courted a mortal. But he tries all the same XD
Subtle Chase... real subtle.
... I hope these panels really didn't need an explanation. I tried to make them clear
