Description
This is a parasite, it lives in a river.-----------------
serious edit har
Name: Parasitic Hookworm
Descendant of: Parasitic Noxis
Location: Twilight River
Diet: OwlQueen blood
Size: 1 - 3 mm
Reproduction: asexual
The Hookworm spends it's entire life inside the Owlqueen, it lost it's ability to perform photosynthesis and now feeds completely off of it's host. The poison glands now produce a silk-like substance that becomes a sheet or slate when released. It's eyes became the organs used for releasing the 'silk' so the Hookworm is now blind. It normally has five hooks, the massive sporoid hook which is used for feeding and reproduction, two thick hooks directly behind it (cannot move), one longer thin hook behind that (movable), and a double hook on the end of it's tail. The gill opening has moved inwards, so the gill opens on both sides now, although the gill works the Hookworm gets most oxygen from the Owlqueen blood it consumes. Because of damage to the gills, loss of blood, and other things caused by the parasites, Owlqueens eventually die when infected.
LIFE CYCLE: adult injects sporoids into the owlqueens blood, sporoids grow, sporoids hatch, tiny hookworms travel to the owlqueens massive gill strips(near entrance of fry-chamber) and escapes through them, they travel into the fry-chamber and attach to the walls, they cover themselves with silk and take in blood, they become adults over time and repeat the process. -- to spread they rely on raids, digging into flesh being carried away by wasplings to their new owlqueen home.--
-LOL HISTORY-
Some Parasitic Noxis attacked a Neon Spectrum hanging around the entrance to the GTD, it swam up into the GTD, and released a bunch of Noxis that spread havoc and death. From there the Noxis were brought up into the Twilight River by some Vespa. Because they couldn't fight the river current they began living in Owlqueen fry-chambers, infecting fry and Eelkings, eventually killing the hives through underpopulation, poisoning, and starvation. They would spread during raids, being carried by Wasplings in clumps of fry and other flesh. Eventually the Noxis started infecting the Owlqueen herself, they also began taking in blood and halting photosynthesis. The most delicate spot nearest to the fry-chamber were the gills of the Owlqueen, so that's where new Noxis would escape her body. Over time the Noxis developed several more spikes for better grip to the walls of the fry-chamber, less streamlined and a whip-like tail from not needing to swim long distances. Finally they stopped producing poison, which harmed their host and slowly ruined the blood, and began producing sheet-silk to protect against being bumped by other residents of the fry-chamber, they would excrete the sheet-silk from their eyes and thus, they went blind.
