Description
Wet and sandy feet are a natural occurrence on the coast, however, in this situation, the sea nearly stole my shoes all together. I've waited for this shot for two years, and we lucky enough to visit on one of the best days of my life. The conditions went from viscous overcast and 40 F to racing clouds in screaming sun. The conditions were soo good that I actually screwed up multiple photographs because I tried to shoot too many rather than making sure I did a few very well. That is a painful mistake that I will file away to guide me on all my future endeavors. This is a composite of three exposures - sky, cave entrance, cave shadows - due to the extreme lighting conditions.
Note: Sorry to keep notifying on these updates, but I finally processed it the way I want. Hope you all enjoy.

At first, this shot reminded me a bit of The Croods,
how they all were in the dark cave, but then I saw
the water below and it reminded me of something
I wrote. ^^
Great picture!!

Nice shot. I can imagine how danger it would be. I went to a similar cave down in los angeles area during extreme low tide. I could not get the wave come close as much as in your shot because it is too scary to get trapped.

Yeah, I sure can understand that. Luckily, this was the highest that the tide got, and it is actually an arch so I just ran out the back, haha. But, shhh, don't tell anyone.

Awesome shot man. I might see if you can turn those yellows more on the orange side and you have some strange green tint on the water.

Hmmm, I'd have to see how it looked on your monitor. The water is green so it should look a bit green in the shadows, but it looks natural on mine :/

It looks pretty natural on my monitor too. Green tint is something you'll always fight with choppy overcast days on the coast. I wouldn't worry about it. Great shot!

It might be natural, but it caught my attention especially out on the horizon where the sea cave opens up. I don't think it's a big deal though, just being too critical you know?

I don't actually know the name. It is up north of Point Reyes

It isn't actually, but it is close. Arch Rock is another super awesome location! There is a spot like this 100 ft South of the main arch.

I'll have to look closer next time I'm out that way.
