I love this map, but I have a question.
Where and How do I place the Wall Cross & Arch Detail? Is it covering the bridge north and south of your picture, covering number five north and south...???
And how is the bridge supposed to look like???

no, any double stone slabs will have a "x2" on the block. all of these are single stone slabs....I do need to get back on this one and do some side views of various parts...

Question: Why do you always use Stone Bricks and Stone SlabsΒ for your Castle/Fortified Builds? Just Wondering.Β

Actually the answer is simple, When I made these plans originally, we didn't have much more than that, lol! I've been doing these for a while now and when I started there were no cool alternatives outside of texture packs, I used brick because cobble walls look very flimsy for a castle so it was bricks or stone. the slabs helped break up the color somewhat. Now that we have a much wider variety of blocks I've been working on a lot of variations and a new castle will show up eventually.
On a side note, I've been spending a lot of the down time working on improving the block-set to the latest release so I can make some new content finally

I'm in the process of making this in survival mode. Β I had a TON of stone (an entire double chest worth) and wanted to make a castle, though I suspect I'll need as much again before I'm done, so I have some farming to do. Β I've made your large barn and chicken coop and love them and tried the large farmhouse but then ended up changing things up (my house and farm is in the desert since the town was spawned there). Β

I'm looking forward to seeing the bigger version! I use this plan extensively whenever I blow up a world. I add a basement running underneath the stairs to the 1st floor balcony. I am also planning a huge village around it and I see you already came up with a design! Awesome! I have my kids playing as well. One wants a small castle design I found, one want's the plotz wizard tower. I was attempting to find something for my son when I found your Fortress Design.... you keep making my job easy!

not sure I know what the problem is, the walls just connect to the towers, the long ones are the castle sides and the short ones are the front walls between the front towers and the gatehouse. the back wall is part of the big building that forms the inner keep. the towers just center at each corner. I currently do not have a built version on any of my maps for screenshots, but here are a few screenshots of aΒ build of it set inside the fortified village built byΒ robertsustersic.deviantart.comβ¦

I have a couple ideas fro these castles of yours, Make one out of sandstone, one out of Nether Brick and Cobblestone and one out of wooden logs and dirt, what do you think?

Something i have changed is to add trapdoors over ladders exposed to the sky as when it rains it comes through. But then i am building on my xbox. Also im starting to draw up the plans for the extra rooms ive placed underneath the keep
