The '60 Chevy appears to have turned itself into a planter.

This photo reminds me of my childhood. My father and I used to talk about old cars and trucks like these. We still do. But it reminds me of older days.

51 Plymouth, 50 Chevrolet, 60 Chevrolet, 48 International and a 60's Dodge Crewcab!
All things I like!
I was checking out a Dodge Crewcab like that a few weeks ago, was thinking of putting the body on my 1-ton Ford chassis.

Aw man, there's a TAZ in there. WAY back in the 60s my uncle had one of those that everyone called TAZ. I don't even think the Taz we know from Warner Brothers existed yet. At the time it was pretty fast, too. It was one of those "Was the fastest car in town" types. Not sure what he had in it or what he had done to it. I just know it was yella.

Mind if I ask what a TAZ is?

This little guy. [link]
I'm not sure why my uncle called his car Taz, I don't know when the cartoon was created but that's what he called his car. I was supposed to find him another one he could recreate his car with but unfortunately my uncle went insane. There's no way I'd trust a ride like that to a loose lug nut.

Taz's first appearance was June 19, 1954 according to wikipedia.....
I thought you meant the cars brand was called Taz...

Oh! No, well I guess he could have gotten the name from the cartoon character. You have to admit, it DOES kind of look like a Taz!

The 1950 Chevy next to the Plymouth. (Though I think Rick's car may have been a 51.)

That is sad that all of those cars/trucks are just wasting away. I hope someone gives them a new life and fixes them up!

There's a certain beauty to scenes like this. Maybe it's the prospect of one day being able to fix them up and drive them around again.
BTW, I really like the effect you used on this photo. It looks like a painting.
