Oh Microsoft, why must you hurt us so? I still have hope that the Xbox One won't turn out as bad as pretty much everyone is expecting based on the reveal. Even if certain things turn out to be untrue (such as having to pay Microsoft to play used games), Microsoft should know better than to leave so many questions unanswered at a big press unveiling. A lot of the Internet is upset though because they are well aware of Microsoft's shady business practices, such as memory licensing (highly technical paper, ignore if you aren't into techie stuff), just to name one of many.

The Kinnect and it's always-on policy alone would prevent me from buying the console... How can anyone think that this is a good idea? >.<

its simple. they didnt . however the were so sure of their market dominance that they believed they could do whatever and people would still buy their console. shock horror, people told them to die in a fire and now they're frantically trying to change everything

Oh, I am a sucker for 1984 comics. As for the Xboned, I'm not touching that. The DVR/remote provided by my cable company does the same job but better and without turning my TV into a telescreen.

lol, if they do that they could be broke because of no one wanting to pay extra, you pay for the console, you pay for the games, you pay for the unnecessary DLC (that should have been included on the game to begin with) and next you know is that you have to pay to play err... older games?
i think i'll stay with the 360, if someday I manage to buy one n.nU
