Very interesting concept. I love the curved earth look. Makes it looks like a giant's world since everything now looks so big compared to the planet!
Pros: The technique with the fisheye is certainly cool and unique. The detail in the trees is still visible, even though it's small.
Cons: The colors don't really pop enough and the sky seems to be turning white as you get to the left of the photo - maybe it could be darkened a bit. If there was not a curve effect on this, I don't think it would be as interesting as a normal landscape photo.

Now that's an interesting effect, makes me feel quite dizzy... or maybe it's the alcohol e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="

I like how it's very calm as a normal landscape, without the fisheye it might even be close to boring, but in this case it's actually a good thing because the fisheye can really influence the scenery (with busier landscapes the effect might add a certain confusion that just throws the photo into chaos).
I personally think the colours could use a bit of editing - they're a bit flat and water and sky could use a bit of distinction, in my opinion. Apart from that I like it - not overly thrilled but it's a nice little piece and an interesting use of the fisheye lense on a landscape e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="

Honestly I need to ask you to make this larger in accordance with DA guidelines for user galleries which state 400px minimum ANY side FAQ #3: Is there a minimum size requirement for deviations being submitted to the Photography galleries? Otherwise you risk having the shot moved to Scraps
That being said, I like this, I would perhaps have shot it at a different time of the day do really bring out the light some more, the tones are a little on the flat side, but some of that can be fixed with curves to give it a little added boost.
Interesting composition, in a way it has the sense of a miniature, I do like that.
Other than what I suggested, I can't think of to much else.

Oh, guess not, just how amazing this is!
Wow, you have an awesome image here!
I absolutely love how you took this image, everything from coloring to the bend of the image is just marvelous!
I find it very hard to change anythign to this image, any changes would have made it a different image, changing its personality and feelings behind it, and I don't think I could.
Overall the brightness and contrast seem a little off, but other than that, I don't think I could possibly change anything! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="

Amazing piece, keep up the work, and I love the series you have going!!!

Very nice fisheye effect. I think that the water ends higher on the left side than on the right side and it looks like horizon is not straight. And a little bit more post processing is needed for sky (more contrast between sky and clouds needed).

Wow, you were right; it was tilted. Fixed that and hopefully made the sky stand out a bit more
Appreciate it!

Great effect... the prove that the world is in fact round...
The photo in neat, for me it's just missing a bit of contrast between the clouds / sky...Beside that is realy cool!
A bigger view maybe would be also great to see a bit more of details...
Have a great 2010!!
Cheers From Portugal

I've increased the size - as to meet minimum size requirements of longer than 400pixels on all sides. So hopefully you can see more details now!
And yourself as well ~Zugo , make 2010 fun!

i like how the fisheye bends the plane. Nice cool, smooth colors. i would love to see this shot with some more dynamic lighting. The little islands really lead the eye.

I effin adore all your fisheye landscapes, incredible!
I'm asking for a fisheye lens for christmas, (I've got a canon) any you'd recommend?

I purchased a MC Canon Peleng Fisheye from Ebay for 380$. Completely manual, camera reads the aperture (which is 3.5-16) as f/0.0 (dA displays it as f/1.7). But for the price, I'm very happy. Only complaint, it doesn't fill the frame on my camera (XTi) but it falls off at the corners.
