The rabbit looks so focused while the tortoise seems to care less. 
Question though: The rabbit looks a bit twisted when it comes to his hindlegs (they look a bit off spatially) was that done to show the oddity of situation in that even though the fable states the tortoise beat the hair it is almost ridiculous to think that that would be the outcome in reality?

Yeah, his leg is all wrong. I was going for a slight twisty back-end so it would seem like he's shaking his rear but it came off looking more like a leg shorter and disjointed from his torso. So no, it wasn't a purposely made oddity ha ha ^_^

that's what REALLY happened, hare got to far ahead he decided to get high, and the trip killed him, thus the tortoise won by defualt

The old fart tortoise wins because half way through the rabbit has to stop and snort some more crack and rests for too long waiting for the initial high to subside.
