Description
This took around 10 hours to created, I used Photoshop CS5 for the Nebula, Asteroids, Sun/Star, Star field, spaceship trail and shading. The spaceship was created in Google sketchUP!I give s special thanks to for all the help and advice.
Full view or download to see all the details. The original size is: 5000x2000 that's res ratio of 2,5:1 (It's not 2;1 thanks to ). I think it will fit on a dual screen, I'm not 100% sure.

Interesting piece! I love the textured feel, but I think adding a few more details would be great; perhaps more stars or galaxies.

hey, thanks for the comment on my piece
so, I'm not good in painting & airbrushing, but I'll try to give you my best advice!
I like the composition, my eyes flow nicely through it. It's really a confortable piece to look at. The tones and textures are really really good too
I would change the interaction between the light source and the asteroids, the light seems to be coming from another direction, rather than from the star/sun (specially on the closer asteroids). This should be something easy to fix it!
The edges of the asteroids could look a little less jaggy to blend more with the rest of the picture
there's nothing left to change I guess, it's a great piece with a lot of potential, just needs some little tweaking!

Your welcome.
Yeah some people where saying to have the asteroids all jaggy and other where saying to have them smooth. I like them smooth my self.
Thank you!

if it was my pic, i'd fix the lighting on the asteroids.. the "lit" sides don't seem to be directionally aligned to the Sun/Star..
i.e.. the bottom one is aligned as if the light is coming from the bottom-right>>.. try drawing lines to each asteroid and go from there..
otherwise freakin' awesome dude.. well done!

Wow, well done! Fantastic work indeed! The edges of the asteroids look a little rough for my taste, but nothing that stands out too sorely. To reiterate, well done >.<
