Edit 1: it was looking a bit washed out, so I made it better.
I did not even know I had caught this one, it was so bright I couldn't even see the photographs clearly on my cameras LCD screen even with full brightness, so I had to wait until I got back home. Also, most of the photographs I took of the barn owls where very close to the highlights all being blown out, but I recovered them all except for a few that where blurry. I have been tring to practice photographing birds in mid flight, and I think I am slowly getting better at it. I mean compared this one to what i did last year:

May I first say, that this is truly an amazing photograph! The skill required to capture a shot like this is truly to be desired. The sunlight showing through the feathers is haunting and you can feel the motion of this magnificent bird pushing off it's perch! Even more amazing is the quality in which this picture is. The background is blurred but the bird is in great resolution! I am truly impressed and quite glad you were able to get this shot. I love owls and this particular breed is my absolute favorite! I just love the sense of motion in this one! I know I already mentioned that, but it truly is what strikes my attention most!
