Description
Nex Astrum - the death of a star. All the work on this image was done in Paint.NET, I used a picture I took of concrete for the basis of the planet texture, and I tried to copy the looks of some real stars to make the larger stars look right, but it's all my work.Full size is 1680x1050. Enjoy everyone!
This image has been updated twice, and with the second and final update, I have changed the name to Nex Astrum and entered this image into the Beyond the Frontier: Center of Power competition.

I like what you done with the nebula now only thing I can think of that might make it better is to concentrate on the composition. is that planet in the goldene zone? The focal area shouldn't really be smack dab in the centre of the image?
only thing that I think could possibly change this from good/great to magnificent/beyond awesome.

Yeah, the planet's right in the middle because I'm lazy, and I made repeated use of the Align Object plugin. It was easier to do the atmosphere layers that way.

Ah, I did those by drawing an X, using a radial gradient to fade it outwards, and then I made an inner glow with some blurry whiteness and a cloudy overlay to make it seem more natural. I think that's basically it.

Was this the background you posted from the collab? I like what you did with this man! Highlights on the planet seem like they should be blown out more, but I like it nevertheless.
