Description The units put ashore at Kluknupinvickzuimvitlm (soon redubbed as Port Kilo by the occupying forces and referred to by the press as Dagneyville after the commander of the ships sent there) were limited in numbers and units and capacity. While it is in its own way a testament to the logistics involved that little more than 48 hours elapsed between the approval of recquisitioning of the transport used and going to sea with its battalion of troops aboard, it also demonstrated the length of the limb of which the Aerah Expeditionary Forces were climbing out onto it. The troops, who had been previously acclimitizing for tropical service in the Ader line, were issued cold weather uniforms which had been discharged from previous batches of troops making the run from the homeland to the Irju, and the vehicles loaded aboard were simply what was handily available with two day's notice--indeed, a substantial part of the journey south was spent repainting hardware.

With only around a thousand men available to them, their arrival in Aerah was not logisitically substantial compared to the numbers of troops the Khavet were bringing into the warzone, nor the Nottebohm loyalists or Oehlenschleger's revolutionary forces. With minimal space aboard the vessel, prioritization was key. Accordingly, the majority of the vehicles were focused around troop movement, with a small number of light tanks added and guarded preciously once ashore. Artillery support was limited to 20mm guns which could be used in either AA or anti-tank operations and 37mm man portable anti-tank pieces, with heavier fire power being relied upon the cruisers and destroyers which were escorting the ship.
