Following a four month art block / break!

With all the new commotion happening in the Valley, this small family opts to slip away into the forests. Vulcan has no desire to test his limits in fights, and his mares have already witnessed and decided that he is more than capable to protect and provide for them. In addition, some of the herd's members have fallen ill. Some are still nursing some painful wounds, too.

While Fern happily kicks up her heels, and Ella explores a nearby Clover patch; Vulcan begins to wander how Petra is doing. The bay-colored mare had wandered off to give birth, and she had yet to return to the herd. She'd gotten lost, unable to find her way back to the small group; however, it was her plan to leave after foaling anyway. Still, Vulcan felt worried for her. He was lucky to have both Valsa and Durga around to soothe his troubled mind.

Valsa, on the other 'hoof', was feeling nothing but joy. As she watched her dearest Ella explore through the clovers, the cream-colored mare couldn't help but smile. Valsa's chest became filled with warm feelings, feelings that came from experiencing motherhood again. She began to think back, back to the last time she had stood with a young foal at her side. Her dearest Ventra, a champagne filly. Another awfully curious foal, whom always kept Valsa on her hooftips. She chuckled at the thought of Ventra's past antics, before switching her gaze over towards Vulcan. He was staring off into the distance again, no doubt searching the treeline for Petra still. Valsa's smile faded into a softer grin before she moved her shoulder to bump up against the larger stallion's, an attempt to gain his focus and steal the worries from his mind again.
