Description From a terraformed planet seeded with T.Rex as the main character, 800 million years post-establishment.
The sun has been getting increasingly brighter and hotter for some millions of years now and the continents have been dead and dry for a while.
But some parts of the retreating oceans are still very much alive with all sorts of critters who so far have managed to adapt to the increasing temperature, salinity and acidity.
Among them are the last vertebrates on the planet: a clade of placoderm-like descendants of the T.Rexes introduced at the beginning.
Known as Re-Placoderms, they have a highly-developed rectal gill chamber, a cartilaginous skeleton and a massive exoskeleton made of epidermal enamel-like tissue very distantly derived from scales.
This particular species measures about 75 centimeters long. Its largest relatives are 3 meters-long filter-feeders.

Hey here's a suggestion. A robber crab on a planet removing their size limit and have one like Tomatoa from Moana.

Looks more like a modern descendant of Dunkleosteus.

Plus wouldn't a T. Rex evolved to live in water have some kind of blow hole. And wouldn't Spinosaurus be a better choice because they already spent more time in water than Tyrannosaurus Rex?

Honestly mate, you should do a full, Serina-style project based on this concept!
