Another comment, you know given the problems Toph had with her parents, I can easily see her being a loving attentive parent, granted with her brand of toughness, but after all the problems of communication and her folks treating her like a fragile doll because of her blindness, I can see Toph easily trying to not repeat her parents mistakes and at the very least not letting Lin feel undervalued for who she really is.

well said!! i agree, when i thought about it, toph is ALL tough, ALL the time, but when family gets involved (aang/katara/sokka) she shows a diff side. and with her baby, she was probably such a good mom!!

I'd love to see flashbacks of Tenzin and Lin as kids, heck would like to see Tenzin's sibs and maybe see if Sokka sired any kids....unless...we already have!! *dun, dun dun!*
I know some people will say "But if that were true Tenzin and Lin were dating cousins". True but in old times intermarrying between families wasn't frowned upon and "cousins" even into the 1900's was considered gray enough it was not too frowned upon. Then again we don't know how the Avatar world rolls on that issue, plus we dunno the status of Lin's Father, whether she even knew who he was given all the secrecy on the identity. For all we know Toph never told anyone, and eh I can truely go anyway but that Tokka fan in me has that sliver of hope, but if we find out Sokka and Suki (or heck he ended up with Ty-Lee or someone else) had a happy romantic life and family I'll be fine too. I just hope if we find out who Toph married or shacked up with it's detailed nicely.
