We seriously need some more katara/sokka stuff on here. The close bond they had in the show, i think people overlooked, even me! after everything they went through, and then picturing them getting old and that bond getting even closer! gakldksfjdgkf

My brother thinks SOKKA is the most mature of the two. At first, I laughed at the idea, but then I realized that it's SOMETIMES true. Although he can be as goofy as Aang at times, Sokka can sometimes act like a young adult.

Seriously speaking though, I really like that someone has portrayed their softer side for each other in the way it SHOULD be done! All the other Katara x Sokka stuff I've seen every now and then have been more towards the aforementioned incest stuff that gives me the willies . Speaking of which, you have no idea how disturbing the following chain of events has been for me:
- Watch all the 3 original seasons + 2 movies of Kim Possible featuring the Finnish dub
- Start watching the first episode of avatar, featuring the Finnish dub as well, only to realize that Kim's voice actor now voices Katara and Ron's voice actor now voices Sokka...
From lovers to siblings, just like that O_o;
As for overlooking their sibling bond, I think that I can agree on that one. I mean it's not like I was one of those people...

Tell me about it... Kim's/Korra's voice actor has also voiced that lilac-haired and annoying girl from Digimon 02 (can't remember what her name was, she had Hawkmon as her partner). As for Sokka's/Ron's voice actor, that guy has also voiced Linguini in Ratatouille and Fred & George in Harry Potter games. The recycled voice actor cast is part of the reason why I prefer watching original versions of movies/cartoons these days (not to mention that the original cast is usually superior to the dub, aside from few exceptions here and there).

you are SOO right about this relationship being left out in the fandom ... i'm not talking anything wierd or incestual either ... their brother sister relationship was portraye so well and so naturally it was just that easy to overlook ... you could probably pick out ANY random episode and you'll find a scene in it where the water-siblings quarrel or bicker or at LEAST give the other some quip ... and yet you never feel like they have any real animosity between them ... sure sometimes katara feels like Sokka's a sexist, whiny, boy ... and Sokka can feel like Katara's an overbearig, emotional, annoingly optimistic girl ... but at the end of it all they love each other SOO much that they would both put their lives on the line for each other even the moment after they uttered their final words of eternal hatred ... and why ... because that's what family is to them
