Description
Well I've made so many updates over the past four years that I thought it would be cool to demonstrate an evolution in knowledge and technique. The tome pic from 2008 was my first attempt. At that point I had only taken one year of CAD in HS and this was my second building. Just basic colors and and badly stretched textures.
Second attempt in 2009. The model is basically unaltered accept I used my newly discovered "texture mapping" and the plug in for Rhino 4.0, "Flamingo 2.0" Hence the night foliage.
And finally we come to the most recent and possibly(for now) version. This is a whole new model. I went back to the old one and was appalled by how poorly is had been modeled. Not to mention the entire thing was completely inaccurate. ( I think I may have used the model from "Operation Genesis" as a reference. Bad idea. All way go for the source.). Heh. This one got done in 10 hours. (1 night)
Wel I hope this was interesting and I gaurentie more great models will keep coming as long as there are great things like JP and Star Trek to model!
