Nice. Is the bought one one of the rare GW made ones or is it made by the guy who did the templates for Warp Rift?

It's not the GW one, I haven't even ever seen a picture of one of those. Who made the Warp Rift templates?

Mangozac, IDK his real name but have a look in Warp Rift 30 for the "Zeus Light Cruiser" if that isn't the same craft (or at least another made by the same guy) I'd be very surprised.

Very nice conversion and the paint-job looks good too. It's always nice to see BFG models, keep it up

Very nice- I do like the look of the voss pattern, and your scratch build is excellent- I wouldn't have been able to tell which one you bought otherwise!

Yup, I really like this game and the ships. My brother and I got a few friends of ours into it a few years ago. We were Imperial and they both got Chaos. I'm still IN but my bro has branched into SM, and our friends started orks and eldar recently for a BFG/40 combined campaign we are doing.

Thanks man. I've always liked gray, so it was easy to pick, and my bro had just got the Terra Cotta I used on the prow.

BFG is somewhat cheaper to play. You can get a pretty nicely sized fleet for maybe $150, buy some magnets and you can use whatever Imperial or chaos ships you want.

oh and I think I'll end up using the pose that you took as a reference for my next BFG picture that I'll be drawing- I've never drawn this class ship and the Imperial Navy group needs moar pix!!!

Sure thing, there's also a picture in the IMPERIAL FLEETS pdf resource for BFG on the GW website.

none of then are in the positions I want them in- too much profile not enough bow or stern pointed at particular angles, it makes a very flat picture that's just uninteresting

Ah, yeah, but they're good reference anyway.

New-aged stuff was never as good as the stuff made in the Dark Age of Technology back before the Great Heresy
I like how it's magnitized- that's always a plus because you can just switch it as needed per battle I like your paintjob it turned out very nice, you should do some using the colors in your avatar
(reds and yellows) I think it'd look very nice- you might want to use some gun metal grey or something to contrast the red and yellow... but I think it'd look good all-in-all
BFG is such a great game, wish there was a table-top club in my town

Thanks a lot for all the kind words.
Actually, I feel that the Voss, which is a newer class, is better than the Dauntless, the older one. It's got a lot better weapons batteries.
You could always start a club.

Seeing how I've only read books that touched brifly on the Imperial Navy I've only heard trash talk about the newer ships vs the older ones, but I'll take your word for it!
Thats a good idea! I guess I should start finding the Warhammer fans in my community

Generally yes, older=better tech in 40k.
