Hey! It's epoxy time! I epoxied all the main cracks on the first mallet and decided to do a clear coat resin finish on all sides, not including the striking surface, I'll just wax the ends because resin may separate from the wood on direct impact.I'm really liking the sheen and the resin really brings out that oak color. Not to mention the resin ought to keep it from degrading further.
