How have you fastened the prod? Two-component glue perhaps? (Only thing i can think of that could hold that kind of force here.

No, the usual cord attachment. It's just loosly in-place for now. I think I'll make this one really light, just for fun, and then another one or 2 in the future that will be much stronger.
The 150 isn't a good prod, it is only about a 8-9" power stroke, so you lose some velocity. When I build up my own,. it will have an 11 or 12" power stroke, so will get better performance that way.

The join has 2 1/4" thick steel rods, each twice as long as the front piece in it. The added piece ain't going ANYWHERE!
