When and how did you get started in Cosplay? My love for Star Wars is what got me into cosplay! I would always go to these small conventions and see some amazing cosplays that people put together by hand. It was then I realized how amazing it would feel to recreate my favorite characters in my own style and perspective!
What was your first Cosplay? Oh my, I went ham immediately when it came to cosplay. I wasted no time at all haha. My first was a Shadow Trooper that took over 6 months to make!

What was the most difficult character? Hands down, without a doubt in my rebel scum mind, that the Shadow Trooper was the hardest to make. There were so many little details that I needed to accomplish while also trying to do justice to the character itself. The E-11 was the easiest part because all I had to do was click "order".

What characters are you planning and type of character are you drawn to? Next up for me is to do a DC cosplay. I really want to try my hand at recreating Jessica Cruz's character from The Green Lantern Corps! She's not cosplayed very much which is intriguing itself and I loved her character in the comics!

What is your process when starting from the beginning with a new cosplay? The whole process to me should circle around an original idea that you have created. So you need to find your inspiration first and then from there figure out the puzzle pieces that you need in order to recreate that vision in your head. It is crucial to have a good foundation and lots of resources found on blogs and sites dedicated to cosplay and even further, cosplaying similar characters to what you are trying to accomplish. I find that it is a lot of hurry up and wait with creating your cosplay because most of the time you are buying things in bits and pieces. All those bits and pieces though come all together to bring your idea to life. Nothing is more fulfilling than that.

Are there any helpful hints in sewing, costume design or any other aspects of your cosplay that you discovered in doing your creations? FINDING QUALITY RESOURCES! You'd be amazed at how much information and help there is out there in the fandom world. Never be afraid to ask for help on designing a certain piece of your cosplay and always reach out to others who have done similar work to yours. Reddit was and will always be my best resource for finding new techniques, learning how others have created specific pieces similar to yours, and for gaining support on your journey.

Do you have a preferred brand of makeup in your cosplay? And if so why? When it comes to makeup for cosplay I don't do much because a lot of my cosplay's have buckets so my face is always covered haha..but for when I need to do little details on my face like clan markings, bruises, or just your generic run of the mill eyeliner and mascara I tend to just envision what I would like it to look like and go find reliable yet budget-friendly makeup. You can find the tools you need even at a CVS. Waterproof makeup is my best-friend for creating markings and facial designs so when I'm sweating all day I don't leave a con looking like the Loch Ness Monster.

What are you listening to? Less than Jake, Rob Zombie, Blink 182 (Old school albums), Rancid, and Social (All at one time; just kidding)

Favorite Movies? Star Wars, Star wars, and some more Star Wars, Super Troopers, a lot of horror movies and Spaceballs (A lot of Star Wars in there)

Favorite Animes? Attack on Titan!!!!!! Our cartoons will never be as good as some of the Anime that is out there. The story lines suck you up, they are complex, and they aren't afraid to show a little blood and gore. (My favorite)

Favorite TV Shows? DC The Flash, Supernatural, American Horror Story

Is there a scene from an anime, cartoon, movie or tv show that left a big impression on you and what was it? Ohh I like this question. The original Star Wars movies had so many of these scenes for me. As corny as it may sound, those movies gave me a new definition of what hope and self-empowerment means. "Rebellions are built on hope" after all =]

Books? Any Stephen King novel! Just make sure you go into reading one of his novels knowing that it isn't an 150 page romance novel but a 1,000 page horror movie.

Games? Oh video games, my one true vice. I love the Call of Duty games, GTA V, & some of the DC games like Batman Arkham Asylum and Spiderman for PS4.

Beverage? Bang energy drink!! (and no they don't sponsor me, though I wouldn't be completely opposed at the rate I buy them)

Fast Food/ Junk Food of choice? Dunkin Donuts! Does that count as fast food? I mean I always use the drive-thru so technically....haha nothing beats iced coffee in the winter and hot coffee in the summer.

Candy bar? So this is where it all falls down for me haha. I am allergic to everything under the sun and ground so my favorite allergen friendly dessert is Halo Top Ice Cream! Have you ever tried Birthday Cake ice cream? If not, you should.

Favorite Breakfast cereal?

Is there something not going on in the cosplay world that you would want to see or is there something you would want to change?

What was your favorite toy growing up? My N64!!! Super Mario, Mario Kart, and Bomberman..those were the good ol' days.

Who is your biggest character crush and why? Aquaman...because he's Aquaman..nuff' said. Though Thor in Endgame is a close second..he played the role so well and improved his comedic timing by ALOT.

You enter a warehouse. There is little light, but you are able to find your way around. The sound of music draws you to a corner of the warehouse. There are FIVE GHOUL CLOWNS, playing a dancing video game. They have razor sharp teeth and scary weapons. Magic can not affect them; they sense your presence and turn facing you. They run to you to attack. Time to fight! What character would you want to be to defeat them and how would you handle the situation? Give me a lightsaber or a blaster. "Nothing beats a good blaster by your side" (FYI I AM COMPLETELY TERRIFIED OF CLOWNS, SO LETS HOPE THIS NEVER HAPPENS BECAUSE I'LL PROBABLY RUN AND NOT FIGHT)

If you had to be chained with a character for one year, what would be the character and what would you do? Rey! No one understands a female better than another female haha and she can hold her own. Have you seen her with her quarterstaff?! Seeing as how we wouldn't have any playing cards or volleyballs to keep us entertained, we'd probably be scratching marks on the walls as the days go by until we realize we could just use her force power to get out of the chains. BOOM!

You can have dinner with your favorite character. And at this dinner you may ask one question. Who would be the character and what would be your one question? Thor; "So you building 90's yet in Fortnite?"

What's number 1 on your bucket list? (Something you want to do before you leave the planet). Without a doubt at the top of my bucket list now and for the rest of eternity is watching my little nerd prodigy grow up. That will be the most fulfilling sense of accomplishment I will ever have.

What advice would you give to people getting started in Cosplay? Don't hesitate and start today! Even if it's not in your budget in the current moment you can never start to early with brainstorming ideas and gathering resources. Create a word document with all the pices you need to complete the cosplay. Start finding those individual pieces or helpful links and videos for making certain parts and copy and past them into your document for future reference. You can even put price points on each part so as you gather enough fund you can buy the ones you are capable of and knock them off your list. Staying organized is so important because depending on the level of difficulty of the cosplay you want to make sure you keep track of what you need and how you'll get it. Whether it be a tiny or big step towards completing your cosplay; it is still one step closer to your finished creation.
