Description
Here's Terence Stamp as General Zod from 'Superman II'. It's funny, even with the glut of Marvel movies coming out andΒ the fact I'm a Marvel guy through and through and consider Superman to be one of the most boring characters in comics, 'Superman II' is still probably my favourite superhero film of all.
Used a B pencil for this mainly, with a few minor 3B finishing touches at the end.

Wow great design. I still remember seeing that film when I was a boy when it first came out and the unforgettable villain that was Zod(And yes Stamp is a great actor at that.)

Yeah, I love that movie. I toyed with the idea of classic Zod facing off with nu-Zod ... might still do that at some point.

Yeah, scared the bejaysus out of me when I watched the movie as a kid. Actually, I thought Ursa was way scarier.

Pffft! Indeed Ursa was pretty itimidating while Zod and Non looked like Vegas show dancers if you looked closely. Also I think Non who was supposed to be the scariest one was the least scary of the three. But you gotta love the vintage supervillains, they have an authentic quality about them~ I watched this many many years after the movie was released but I found this movei much better than the first one, mostly because Lex Luthor is not a scary villain, he's actually a villain you can grow dangerously fond of. I'm blabbing, sorry XD.

No problem, I can talk about Superman II all day! I love it! I'm not sure about Non being the most menacing of the baddies - he spent half the film squinting and squeaking and barely mustering enough heat vision to light a cigarette. Also, Jack O'Halloran just has too friendly a face to be a convincing villain. Ursa was terrifying though. That bit where she ripped the astronaut's badge off, killing him in the process, scared me to death as a kid. Sarah Douglas made a fantastic villain and was also really hot, looking back.

Cool~ Indeed he is supposed to have this ogre quality about him but I kinda find him funny XD. He reminds me of Hodor in Game of Thrones XD. I agree. I generally believe that female villains are usually much more badass that male villains~ And yes she was very very pretty which made her powers even more impressive for some reason XD.

That reminds me, I need to draw Rathbone sometime. I was actually thinking of drawing Loki from Marvel Comics but not the Tom Hiddlestone version from the recent movies ... more the comics version, whose look was based on Basil Rathbone, I reckon.
