I've loved Spidey ever since the early 80s - this was my first big project since I got back into drawing, inspired by Ron Frenz' Sinister Syndicate storyline. I decided to include Rhino because he's my favourite Marvel villain, Dr Octopus because I see him as Spidey's arch-enemy and Hobgoblin because I wanted an airborne baddie and wanted to have a crack at drawing the flyer. I threw out a request for the other two villains on Facebook and Scorpion and Shocker were the two best picks. Had particular fun drawing Scorpion, using Mark Bagley's great work as a reference.Related content

Why thank you! It was the first thing I stuck on DA that I was really proud of, although there are a few things I'd change if I did it again.

Well I think that raw first drafts are always the best because you know that it was the first confident thought from the artist. Like a first edition. !! nice work
