When Sadie asked him if he'd return to Australia for the Trials, Nick knew was coming next. After a couple months of preparation and planning, he'd found himself back in Australia. Rava was ready to prove herself to her breed once again.
The event was just as busy as he remembered it to be during the Futurity, and part of him missed Abigail being there, hanging off of his arm due to her social anxiety in large crowds. Sadie was quite the opposite. It wasn't a bad thing. He didn't need to worry about her or constantly check-in with her throughout the day which wasn't something he'd been accustomed to. It was alright though. Nick was able to focus more on Rava and be a little more vigilant for their classes.
Everything started off really great. He had Rava looking impeccable with her mane and tail braided up nicely, black coat shimmering and shining. He had their matching outfits on point. Up until the rain started to come down and soaking them. Puddles in the arena started to form and Nick tried his damndest to maneuver Rava around the puddles. It was bound to be a losing battle. Nick knew it. Rava knew it. The judges probably knew it too. Rava's black coat lost it's shiny appearance, but truth be told, Nick was more worried about his nipples making an appearance through his wet shirt. (235 wc)
