Here's a drawing of my Fullmetal Alchemist OC, Hope. She's a homunculus, that's why it looks so creepy...The colors are obnoxiously bright, but I like them that way. Makes her look more disturbing...
My favorite is the flower in her hair. It's an anemone flower, by the way. And her hair gave me huge issues. Luckily, most of them are resolved.
Drawing her was fun. Particularly her dress. It was easy to shade. XD

She reminds me a lot of Lucy from Fairy Tail though.

Haha, I can see how she might look a bit like Lucy. I've never watched Fairy Tail, but I have seen pictures. I swear though, she was not made as a reference to Lucy at all.

Don't worry, I don't think it's really possible to make a character without him/her vaguely resembling someone else's character. I've had my characters called rip-offs of other's work.

Oh my gosh, those are fails. I laughed so hard. Haha, at least I can see where your coming from when you say Hope looks like Lucy. Some of those characters don't even look like the other at all except for their hair color.

tips well Hope isn't a deadly sin so she probably shouldn't be an homunculus but i guess she could have some sort of connection to the homunculus

Um...not to sound defensive or anything, but I have a lot of reasons to justify why she CAN be a sin. First of all, Envy states in the OVAs that Dante names them after the sins because she WANTS to, not because she HAS to. So technically, there could be another homunculus--just Dante wouldn't have a name for them.
Another is the place where I got the name Hope from. I didn't just like randomly get it. Do you know the legend of Pandora's box? Inside the box are the seven deadly sins and one other thing..guess what? Hope.
So yeah, I appreciate the input. I completely understand where you are coming from, but I would like you to understand my reasons. It is okay though if your opinion still stands. I won't make you agree with me.

Tips, huh? Pretty decent overall, but try to balance out the size of her head and her body.

Tips? Submit your art to groups so they will look at your amazing work. O__o Cuz apparently it's very heard to get feedback when you don't submit to groups... Just look at your sis' work, follow her steps, and you'll become a shiny star like her~~ I sound like a fairy godmother... D:
Anyways, I like the hair. And the bright colors. I always end up making the colors in my drawing very very bright. I like brightness. *3* I love the shading on the dress! it makes the dress look smooth~

Lol, my sister makes waaaaay too many Hope puns. Jeesh, I would hate to see her meet a person named Hope in real life. She would have a ball playing with her name.
I like the brightness too. It was fun to play with the lighting.
