Description
Highgarden! This took so long to do, and the most work in illustrator. My hand aches from doing all of those art nouveau roses in illustrator and then painting them all in photoshop. The castle i used for reference had all these fiddly windows too.But overall, I'm pretty happy with the floral decor of Highgarden. Even if it is ever so pink (sometimes you have to do something pink & green and if anyone was ever "lily pullitzer" it's the Tyrells)
next on my list: Dorne, Storm's End, and then one for Vaes Dothrak that will include Dany & her dragons. After that I dunno, I might have to stop..or possibly redo the wall (it was my first, and not very good), do maybe Bravvos, an alternate version of dragonstone for stannis. we shall see.

art is (c) to me

I know there is no real description of Highgarden
Regarding the one you used as reference, imho, still looks too "feal" for me, but as you say, to each... their own

Every bit as original and good as the others
Perhaps the castle shouldn't look so Tudor/Elizabethan - as it is, it is hard to imagine this is Highgarden we're talking about and not some place in England/Ireland.
Just my 2 cents

thanks!
As to the style- there's never a very clear description of the castle, just that it is the prettiest and is famous for its high walls and gardens, so I just went off from there. Since the English are into rose gardens in a big way, those were the castles that came up (and some middle eastern ones as well). The style of the castle seemed to fit (for me) with the style I wanted for the poster.
The castle this is based on was built in 1390 in Dexter, England, so more Henry 8 than Elizabethan. And since Westeros is fantasy land, there's a lot of creative freedom. Possibly if I revisit these, I'll try to make the castles match better (though it might get visually boring). But to each their own. thanks for the feedback

it's a fair point- though sadly i'll probably have to wait until season 2/3 of the show to see what they do for highgarden.
