so yeah...been working on the carapacetuate drawing a little bit more. except for some of the outlying structure nothing is the same. legs were too awkward so i changed em, the head sucked so i got a reference photo and redid that. i woulda liked it to be open. but this will suffice.
i also decided to start rendering a background. there will be more shit composited in later in photoshop but yeah, this works for now. tell me if u like it. none of you viewed the first progression so check it out and see if you like this better.

Ah, cool. I think this version is much improved over the first. I think the original looked too, cliche. I'm into a lot of fantasy books and games and such. So believe me I've seen a lot of lizard guys. I think the lack of tail, and the face change got rid of that stigma. I like the texture you have going so far, and good luck on the BG!

Compareing first to second, i definatly like this one more. The lines are smoother and look more natural for it. Very well drawn, i love it.
