"The Clan of the Cave Bear" is one of my favorite books, and I've been waiting more than 5 years for the sixth Earth's Children book to come out. So I find it amazing that I've never drawn any fanart.So here she is, the main character, Ayla.

I really like this book saga and IΒ΄m now following it (Native spanish speaker so I really donΒ΄t know much about the ehglish books...) IΒ΄ve been searching for fan art of this saga and this is the very first pic I find. The rest of Ayla is pure Chrono Trigger.
I love her pose and face. I think you capture her essence just perfectly, and I love the coloring too. Nice job.

This is the way I like to think of Ayla. Captures her very well.
And I hope Jean Auel doesn't do a Robert Jordan (pass away before finishing). Just losing a great writer is bad enough, but to have the work unfinished adds to the tragedy.

i second some of the comments..does anyone know when the 6th comes out? i have been reading the series since i was 13, thats 11 years ago. i dont know if i can handle re-reading them for the 15th time without the 6th book. you know Jean's health is failing too...so...for all that is good and pure...i hope that she gets to make the final book.

omg, i am in such agreement with you.
i love all five books. and i've been waiting for wait seems like a lifetime for the sixth book. every now and then i try to find it, but the only one i found was in spanish. and it wasn't even at that Chapters.
but this is wonderful. i think the hands and feet are pretty awesome. (but that may have something to do with the fact that i can't draw hands+feet. haha)

Oh wow. Her anatomy is really awesome. My favorite part of this is under her neck and that cheek bone! holy shit, and her nose and feet too!
