Description I apologize for the watermark. All concept stuff that has to do with my fantasy world Enlea will have this watermark. I don't want my ideas to be stolen.

This is my world map for my fantasy world Enlea.
I've also made a 'before' world map, where the world looked a lot different. A certain event in the past had such a big impact on the world that it actually destroyed most of what once the Kingdom of Atlantis and changed the whole continent of Lemuria. I don't think I'll upload that map though, it's more for my own reference. Unless a lot of people are interested in seeing it. So... let me know!

If you're interested I guess I could tell you where the characters you all know and have seen some artwork of live. If you're not interested you can stop reading now. XD;
Coraleana, her family and Marcus all live in Ramu, the capital of the Lemurian Empire.
Khyran and Locke live on the Floating Sanctuary.
Akia (and Aya) live in the Lost city of Bahma (in the kingdom of Babylon).
Akidah and Kalde live in Agartha, it's entrance is Agash Atargtis island's vulcano.
Leilani lives in Murias (in the ocean)
Alexandra (alex) lives in Inanna (capital of the kingdom of Babylon).
Luna lives in Snowflow village (in the Sinaaq region).
Maya lives in the Secret city of Khamamoon (in the kingdom of Babylon).
And if you think I forgot Kiyo, he travels and his home is unknown.

Radiant Moonflower
Radiant Moonflower
Moonflower...A flower as radiant as the light of the moon. It blooms at night, and when there's a full moon it gives off the most beautiful, soft blue glow. It's said that they glow as brightly as a star if a person with a heavy heart is close to them, hoping to bring some light back into that person's life.
It was dark inside the young prince's room. The only light that could be seen was that of the moon that would shine in on occasion after the clouds had drifted by. Not a sound could be heard, no movement seen.
However, the room was not empty. In a dark corner the young prince was sitting on the floor, his head buried in his knees, crying silent tears. It was rare for him to cry but today he just couldn't help it. It was the 12th year anniversary of his mother's passing and he missed her so. His father was always too busy to pay him any mind. It was understandable, with him being the emperor of Lemuria there was plenty of work for him, but

Geez, such an amazing map
I really love how it looks, from the overall look to the close-up details like the fonts, little symbols, etc. The locations names have a nice ring to them. You even managed to shape and place the different continents and islands in an elegant way! - I mean it's visually satisfying and well-balanced ("Elegance" is a word that suits you and your work very well, anyway )
Well done!

Thank you very much.
Never knew a map could look elegant, but I'm glad I was able to make it look visually pleasing (without really trying.. XD; ).
(And thank you for the elegance compliment. No one's ever described me or my art that way before, sure feels nice. )

Yet, your work as a whole is the essence of elegance. It's something I thought a while ago, but I'm now noticing how it shines through in all your designs and works, even in the very details Some people have this natural proclivity to create harmonious, esthetically pleasing visuals, and you're one of them.

wow, thank you.
You know I struggle a lot with art, I've thought about quitting more than once, and sometimes I don't even think of myself as a real artist, so it's really nice to hear this, especially from an artist I look up to.

Normally I probably would have, since I seem to love map making. But I just don't have the time to also make things for other people.

yeah that takes a lot of time and good planning. X3 I know. Took me a while to figure out where to place everything. And even now I might still change some stuff later on.

SuspenseWriter In reply to Coraleana [2015-09-29 18:22:50 +0000 UTC]

right right >.< well I'll draw the map on a piece of paper and then send it to you ^.^ then if you would like, you can definitely take time to finish it! Sorta feels like a commission request in a way huh? But I'd be honored if you did a map of my country Euphoria

and YES, it takes a little while to figure out where everything is, hell I'm a writer, and I try my damndest to not get all my locations mixed up >.<

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Coraleana In reply to SuspenseWriter [2015-09-29 20:02:48 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I'm sure most people would ask (a lot) of money/points for it. X3;
I hope you don't mind if it does take a lot of time. I never really know when I do have time to work on art, and it's been a long time since I actually finished my own map so I need to get the hang of it again. X3
Also, I don't know if you have lots of other places besides cities/towns like me (plains, lakes, forests, deserts, etc.), and I don't know if you have names for them, but if you do please include all that as well. If not, just roughly show me where you would like a forest, lake, desert, etc to be.
I think I'll probably make like a rough concept first and see if you agree with it before I make the actual map.

That's exactly why I made a map. XD I want to eventually write a story about Coraleana, and having a map like this is very handy.

SuspenseWriter In reply to Coraleana [2015-09-30 01:59:23 +0000 UTC]

lmao well my financial aid is gonna come in at the end of this week, so I'd be happy to pay you if that is needed

Also, of course I don't mind x3 maps take a lot of time and work to develop trust me, a rough sketch for me is gonna take awhile >.< but hey, to make it easier on you, there's a big lake in the middle a lot of the different borders surround it so it's actually not hard to draw ^.^
I do actually have quite a bit of places, but thankfully they're easy to map out, like, Zekai, which is the country's capital where Princess Harmonia resides? It's surrounded by mountains, and there is only one village to the west of it ^.^ the mountain south of the capital is Torrent Pass. I'll sketch the rest of it when I get a chance to give you something to work on ^.^

And nice! as I mentioned before I'm a writer! It's a lot of hard work but if your mind is fully dedicated to your story then nothing can stop you from shooting out chapters! :3 If you need some writing criticism or anything from me let me know! I'm not a professional, but I've been receiving good comments and such from my teachers since I found out I could write in the 7th grade! I'm interested to know what you'll write about for Coraleana :3

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Coraleana In reply to SuspenseWriter [2015-09-30 13:16:38 +0000 UTC]

Nah, that's okay. X3 I'm not good with that sort of thing anyways, never know how much to ask for. That's probably why I never open my commissions anymore. XD; I told you, I like making maps, so this one's on the house.

Just take your time, and just sketch out everything you want to be in there and I'll take it from there.

That's very true, though I'm very new at it, so it can be hard. Plus the fact that English isn't my native language, so that's always a little bit of a challenge as well.
Actually.. if you don't mind, I made a short story not too long ago (well.. it turned out to be a little bit longer than I planned it to be ), and I would really appreciate it if you could give me your opinion on it, and maybe some tips/advice. I got a lot of tips from a friend while writing it but it's also good to get someone else's view on it too. ^^
Radiant Moonflower  (as I said it's a bit long, so whenever you have the time to read it is fine)
This was sort of a test for me. To see if I could even write something good, and if people would be interested. I'm still working on the whole story for Coraleana. I have a lot of details to fill out still. It kind of goes together with the creation of the world as well. The more I create for the world the easier it is to expand on the story's details. So before I'll even attempt to write it I'll be doing lots of concept stuff for Enlea first.

SuspenseWriter In reply to Coraleana [2015-09-30 18:42:04 +0000 UTC]

-right clicks Radiant Moonflower and starts reading- ^.^

really?! I appreciate it! Yeah I'll get started on the sketch ASAP! :3

Well don't worry ^.^ even if English isn't your native language (which I'm curious to know what is yours), that shouldn't hold you back from wanting to create a world where all of your characters live :3 didn't stop me from writing a story where heroes go to Tokyo, and Japanese is terrible with me xD.
And agreed, I never create maps for my stories so sometimes it's confusing to the readers x( so maybe I should start with Euphoria. and I can't wait to see what you have for to offer for Enlea as I said it's absolutely beautiful, your cartography (in case you didn't know, cartographers are people that make maps) skills are pretty damn amazing x3.

In return, here's a link to my story and I hope you give it a good read ^.^ It's a Sonic OC story and I know hat Sonic OC's are outdated nowadays, but I think the story is rich enough to keep you interested

suspensewriter.deviantart.com/…

also, I use music to capture the readers, and not gonna lie, most of it is game music...hehe...but I find that music to really help me write and picture things. It's a great remedy for me :3 nonetheless, ENJOY! :3

P.S.: I've only just seen the artwork and I'm already liking it x3

Mine's Dutch. X3
I know, but it does make some things harder. Like finding different words so you don't keep using the same ones and start sounding repetitive, and stuff like that. Also my English vocabulary isn't as good as my Dutch one. I mean I know the meaning of a lot of words, but when writing most of those just don't automatically spring to mind. It's always the more common and easy ones that do. If that makes sense..
Thank you. I was rather surprised with my Enlea map myself. I didn't think I could make it look this good. I hope I'm able to do the same with Euphoria, it's always a little harder if you make a map for someone else instead of for your own, I'd hate to disappoint you.

Thanks for the link, it might take me a while but I will read it.^^

I don't see anything wrong with that. Music can be a great source of inspiration. Some of my artworks were inspired by songs. And it's kinda like with watching a movie, it would be a whole lot more boring if there was no music. X3 I think it's cool you have music links in your story, I'm sure that will really add to the experience when people are reading it. And like you said, it also helps the writer to get more inspired. I'm sure I'll be using music too for inspiration when I start writing my story.

Thanks.

oooooo Dutch, this is a first for me to ever meet a Dutch x3

and no no that makes perfect sense. Can't teach a japanese person english in a day x3 it takes a lot of time! If I still have them, I can offer you my writer's papers that contains everything you need to know about writing, from point of views to type of characters to definitions. WHen I started writing, that pink sheet was a REAL HELPFUL tool that I had at my side! It's what basically started my career

and nah, you wouldn't disappoint me x3 it's really a simple map, for someone of your caliber and talent it would be no problem for you to use your cartography skills, because trust me girl, you've GOT the talent

and really??? I think that too! Looking up scene music to match moments really REALLY helps me in the writing field, and if you're thinking about using music to add to your chapters and stories, then I advise you to, it's a rewarding experience

There's a first for everything.

If it's not too much trouble I'd love it if you could share that with me. I got some tips from a friend already and I do have some websites that should help me out too, but any advice or help is appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm not sure I'll actually put it in there. But I will be listening to it when writing, as some music can really help you think out a scene.

I'll try to find it! if I can't find it, then I'll try my best to teach you English!

and of course you deserve it ^.^

YES IT CAN! I include the music with mine to get readers to capture moments as they read them. It really strikes their emotions and they have a lot more to say in the comment box once they're finished

I remember when you showed me this, I was blown away. I still very much am! The amount of detailing you put into this is just--wow! It looks like a real world map! I absolutely adore it! I love knowing where everybody lives! I think that's an awesome touch in the description!

Honestly, the watermark isn't that off putting! It's there, yes, but it's transparent enough for me to see what's underneath, and I like it. I need to think of one like that. xD I just did something similar with the Bulatooks--putting my name on it and I think I used 'emboss' or something to bring it out more, but I can't remember now. XP;; I might start doing that from now on.

Excellent work on this! I love it!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Coraleana In reply to oreana [2015-09-28 19:56:28 +0000 UTC]

Thanks very much. I might have to change it later though if I ever have to add more stuff to it. you never know what I might come up with. X3;

I'm glad it's not too off putting. I always use a watermark, but normally it's just my real name with the date and I put it into the picture like it's a part of it. So it's in there, but it doesn't mess up the picture. (and an art (c) coraleana.deviantart.com thingy somewhere on the edge) I just wanted something bigger for my Enlea stuff, as a precaution.
I think it's smart adding a watermark to your images. And not like some people who put it like on the outer edge, people can still steal it and just crop that off.

Thanks. It's only a small part, many people probably won't notice it's there. I just wanted to have as many different natural habitats as I could. Though.. now I noticed that the Floating Sanctuary has no forests/woods... x.x they definitely need at least one. I need to figure out where to place it since there's no room left. XD;;

sadly yes. @.@

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

oreana In reply to Coraleana [2015-10-04 16:46:57 +0000 UTC]

Awwwr, haha, I am sure you'll easily think of something! And honestly, missing the small details at first is what makes a piece so elaborate and wonderful to stare at for hours--you pick up on things you didn't notice before. Well, it has the jungle, doesn't it? I think a jungle would be just fine for that sort of location, but if you insist on the forests and woodlands, then go for it~

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Coraleana In reply to oreana [2015-10-06 07:29:48 +0000 UTC]

Well yes, but different animals live in forests and woodlands compared to jungles. And since the Floating Sanctuary is for animals that are going extinct it would need to have a forest for such creatures. But I guess that means it would actually also need a mangrove, swamp..and anything else I have on Enlea and forgot to add to the FS. hmm..sounds like I might just need to re-do it. Or maybe it could be like you said, maybe animals from forests and even swamps would live in the jungle and animals from a mangrove could still survive on beach areas or something. I guess this needs some serious thought.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

oreana In reply to Coraleana [2015-10-06 17:32:14 +0000 UTC]

You could do that, or perhaps there is a sanctuary that sort of has these little habitats for them to exist within? Or maybe some of the animals have learned to adapt to certain areas? I am sure whatever you come up with will be fantastic!

Coraleana In reply to oreana [2015-10-08 08:18:23 +0000 UTC]
