I sketched his out ages ago, and I lost my nerve. XD;; At some point I got it back and I've been working very slowly on this background, and I'm soooooo relieved it's finally done!
That being said.. I'm only half way still. 
I have a lot of characters to put in there and I'm sure it'll take me a very long time to do that as well. There's 5 characters (well 6 technically) and 12 familiars, I kinda dread doing all of them too. x.xSo I'm sharing the background in the mean time. I'm very pleased with how it came out. I didn't think I could pull it off to be honest.
I love Perdida.
I love these kinds of ancient looking cities/towns, I love the snake theme, and it's in perpetual twilight, giving it that lovely orange glow all the time! 
Btw, that fluffy little thing on the right is a Llapaca. (they're so cute, the female ones have beautiful eyes with big eyelashes! XDD)Full Picture:

Reminds me a lot of the Ancient Cistern from Skyward Sword. Never played Ni No Kuni myself, if I'm honest Drippy's accent just grates on my ears. I hate the Welsh/Irish accent so much!

I thought it was weird at first, but I love it now. X3 If there's one thing I learned, it's to never let accents/voice acting keep you from playing a game! I kept me from buying Xenoblade Chronicles when it came out, because I wasn't used to English actors instead of American and I was afraid it would annoy me too much.

Heheh I see, yeah I actually quite like Shulk's accent, but really my issues with Drippy aren't related to not being used to the accent (I'm Welsh born myself, always been around Welsh people) its more like over-saturation, and I've held some private resentment toward the Welsh culture for a while (its complicated) and as I was raised by English parents I picked up their accent and there's really no hint of Welsh in my speech at all, something I'm very glad about.

Oh my god! This is truly amazing, whata fantastic details. Its like taken from the movie Eldorado. Or the Disney move Atlantis. Its looking amazing, I so want to be there, it looks so mysterious and looking like a nice place to be.

Well Spirited Away was done by studio Ghibli as well, that's why it looks familiar to you. When you play this game it's almost like playing a studio Ghibli movie, which is pretty cool. X3

I'm not sure. It feels to me like not a lot of people knew of it, so I feel it wasn't as popular as it should have been. Maybe it's because people might have thought it was for children, I don't know. They did do things like making it really easy for you to know where to go, like you didn't really need to think about it, it was always on the map. I didn't mind that as much, and I enjoyed the game a lot.ย

it's actually a good idea to make them more simple to fit your style at this time. Later on when you've done lots of bgs and when you've become better at them, you can make them as they are supposed to be.^^
