SO!! Why isn't Barry Allen a Jewish, red headed, freckled faced, nonchalant, nerdy scientist? Hmmm...because I didn't make him that way until now,lol! Just seemed like the rite thing to do is all. Flash though is a sleek, sarcastic witty, fast talking mofo. One that can actually back up his talk with actions. He also seems like the type of guy to be totally conscious about his outside appearance in terms of his superhero attire. So instead of the full body, orangy-red and yellow tights, he altered it into something that looked just a tad more wearable. Also this way he doesn't look like some silly looking fast man trying to pick up the chicks....
! But these are my own weird thoughts on the feller, whats yours?tools: Ps7, mousydoodaa

I like the new Barry (though I think he needs to be shown with the classic bow-tie).
And as for the Flash, I'd hate to tell you this, but I think his classic costume is cooler. I would have kept the classic costume but added goggles, or something. Excellent pose, though.

I think it only stands to reason that Barry Allen (or whichever Flash you care to name, for that matter) would be wearing something a little looser than the traditional skintight affair.
Can you imagine the chafing that would happen if you were running at supersonic speeds in spandex?! Never mind the wedgies...

if kyle from south park was a superhero.people tend to forget that barry allen is actually a smart dude and man this is awesome! i completely love the new flash uniform. simple design, clean and without those god awful yellow boots. i never got the yellow boots...you would think he would wear some kinda tennis shoe that could withstand the beating he gives em. if they ever make a good flash tenny then i would buy em.

This is a brilliant redesign. The Flash looks as fast as he should, and Barry looks absolutely perfect. Nobody would expect that this nerdy Jewish guy would be the fastest man in the world, which makes it work.
You really should try to get in touch with someone at DC. With art like this, they may be willing to give you a shot at a sort of alternate universe using some of your concepts.
