Description
Thought of Mr. Grayson as someone who's sort of a depressed and dark loner. He wouldn't be dark in terms of what he wears but mentally. To me he's at a stage some where in his mid to late 20's were he's already dealt with some pretty terrible hardships that continue make it's way in his daily , non crime fighting life. NightWing would be Dick's way of taking out all of his aggression..but on the killers and crooks. I thought that even though Grayson is trying to be his own hero, his outfit sort of show signs that his future has something even Darker waiting for him. This is my thought on the guy though....what do guys think?tools> Photoshop7, optical Mouse

really lovely take on nightwing.Beautifully doen peice. Though, i wud say he is less dark in terms of mentality.
Yes, he does go around bashing the snot out of people but, despite that, he is one of the cheerful, estranged "children of the Bat".
Besides there is enough brooding darkness in Batman to cover the rest of the team aswell, so I think there should be a balence to that and thy name is Dick.heehee
He usually compliments Batman's gritty-ness with wisecracks and jokes. Even after leaving the team, when they team up on some occasions this sill happens.

I have to admit the out fit does look Darker,and also tells me he is destined for something greater (I don't know maybe being to next in line to carry the mantel of "The Batman") anywho this was awesome bro,loved the coloring and your poses.Keep up the great work.

I like this...reminds me of Battle of the Planets and the Phantom. Very bird-like. I also like your comments...makes sense to me. I don't see him killing the bad guys but he would have a lot of fun hurting them..."Come on give me a reason."

You may be one of the only person who draws Dick right (in my opinion) seeing as nobody seems to rember that hes suposed to be an acrobat, thus short and maybe not massive. And ofcourse, the design! Now why dont they use that instead?
About Dick, yeah your thoughts pretty much translates the character pretty well, though Ive always thought that Dicks cheerful atitude will catch up to his darker side and dominate his character again, while hes still kindof mysterius. At least I hope so. Sure beats making him a copy of bruce.

I love your interpretation of Dick Grayson's Character- and I agree with it for the most part. Dick, after loosing his parents, grew up as a crimefighter, and being raised by Bruce Wayne is, well, not exactly bright and happy. I think he's less agressive than Bruce, and more friendly- he's known for having superhero connections. I agree that he's trying to be his own hero- as ex-Robin, he felt overshadowed by Batman and felt the pressure that he needed to become his own man, which is why he quit being Robin when he did. (joining the teen titans for a length of time was for the same reason, I think)
I'm ranting aren't I? but the art is lovely, and I really liked your description of Dick.

Interesting, and a nice art style, but if you've grown up in the shadow of the bat and not only kept yourself well balanced, but managed to make Batman smile on a regular basis, I really can't see Dick ever being the dark brooding type.

I love this version of Nightwing, Dick's Nightwing was kind of the first one of this new Shadow League that now all the Batman family is. I don't know, but I was watching Teen Titans, and I noticed that that Robin (Drake's) actually becomes a new Nightwing... So, It's kind of cool that Batmans/Robins/Catwomans/Batgirls/Batwomans/Nightwings/Al'Ghuls titles that passes from one generation to the next one.

humm interesting...I always saw Dick as the little spot of light that kept Bruce from fully falling into the darkness that he surrounds himself with. But I can also see what you mean about the year of hardship wearing him down.
