I always liked the X series and dare I say more than the classic one.
Its a shame they never went and made a Megaman X9. A man can dream. ;3;

I probably played the X series a little more than the classic series. I remember one summer, playing X1 straight through at least once a day. Some times, thrice a day. Still, Classic Megaman 2, I played the crap outta that one.
I had a hard time getting into X6, X7 and X8. At that point, I found the Zero series much more impressive. For whatever reason, I highly enjoyed Command Mission.

Glad I'm not the only one who liked Command Mission. It may not have been a magnum opus of a RPG but it was charmingly entertaining. Steel Massimo ftw.
X1 is a total classic. Its one of the few videogames that I've actually memorized. By far one of my favorite Megaman games along with Megaman 4.
