An original made for the soon to be smash hit Sonic Fan Character manga Elemental Chaos, and the main character I might add.

Name: Novus the Hedgehog

Bio:
Novus is a hedgehog that lives on a distant planet known as Elysium, and is a citizen of one of the seven nations that reside there. His is known as the Cosmic Nation which protects the Cosmic emerald. The seven nations on Elysium all have their own emerald pertaining to a specific element. A cataclysm struck their planet, during the Great Elysium War, in which the Master Elemental Emerald was destroyed, and it forced the nations to take their respective emeralds and use their resources to stabilize the emeralds and balance out their power in order prevent their planet's destruction. The denizens of Elysium began to develop strange powers after 200 years of their guardianship, do to the excess energy produced by the emeralds, but it wouldn't be until another 300 years later that Novus was born. Novus, being the strongest fighter in his nation, was elected to be the Cosmic emerald's guardian. He currently lives a carefree life in the capital with his family.

Personality:
He's acts rather cocky because he was elected guardian, and the gall to back it up, but he pretty much always acted like this. Being brave ever since he was young, he also dislikes what he deems as "annoying behavior". On occasion he performs the duties of a police officer when the situation calls for it. He often says what's on his mind without regard for the others feelings. Blunt and to the point, his actions may resemble that of a jerk's, but he means well, so it's best not to take him seriously on some things.

Description of Power:
Novus' Power of Astrokinesis, or Alchemy, allows him to break down matter and reconstruct it into any form he chooses, but it has it's limits. For example, he can't take a grain of sand and transform it into a priceless gem. The power follows the rules of "Equivalent Exchange." "Mankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return to obtain something of equal value must be lost, this Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange." (quoted from Full Metal Alchemist)

Skills:
Reconstruction: Break down matter and reform it.

He usually fights with his own style of martial arts, and saves his power for when it's absolutely necessary. In those cases he fights with a manifested weapon of his choosing.

Other:
Although he'll never admit it, he does love his sister Era even if she drives him crazy.

If you don't recognize this character, I don't blame you this is a spiffy new redesign of my old FC Eon the Hedgehog

This one of the first pictures I drew using my new style.
I put my old artist tag in this pic too, there was too much negative space.

*edit* I added some basic shading to the pic nothin' special.

*edit 2* Got irritated cuz some jag-off said that the jewel looked like a hole in his chest so I fixed it to avoid more stupidity.

Finally got around to inking this bad boy. It took me a few hours and it's one of the first pics I've digitally inked in what seems like years, but in my opinion it looks good. Will add tones later, and colors when I receive a request from a one who agreed to manifest a color scheme.

*EDIT 4* Mo' IMPORTANT
I finally colored the guy. ^^ I personally think the coloring sucks though. I haven't really gotten the style down yet, but I'm trying. I ended up using ~venomous-cupcake 's color scheme as !ChaosRubie15 never got my request done.
